YouToo Scholarship

Win $500 and PRSA Recognition!

Purpose:
The Akron Area Chapter of Public Relations Society of America will award one outstanding Kent State PRSSA student the YouToo Scholarship. The winner will receive $500 and a one-year associate membership to PRSA following graduation.

Eligibility:
The applicant must be a full-time student majoring in public relations or communications and currently attending Kent State University, a member in good standing of the Kent State University PRSSA Chapter and serving in some capacity to help prepare for the YouToo Conference.

Application Procedures:
1. The applicant must submit a cover letter detailing why he or she deserves YouToo Scholarship recognition, including roles taken in preparing for and supporting the 2012 and/or other YouToo Social Media Conferences.
2. Each applicant must submit an official college transcript.
3. At least one faculty letter of recommendation must accompany the application.
4. Students must submit writing samples that reflect their skills.
5. Students may submit any other extra-curricular public relations activities or internships.
